Excellent Refrigerator

Ive had this refrigerator for about 3 weeks now and am really happy with it. It holds a lot its super quiet and so far the stainless steel finish has been easy to keep clean. The integrated recessed handles are great for opening the doors and the doors close securely by themselves. This was not the case with the French-door model I had previously so I really appreciate this feature. I bought refrigerator thermometers to monitor the temperature of both the refrigerator and freezer compartments and both areas are consistently maintaining the recommended temps. Something else I appreciate is the the door shelves are so sturdy and can accommodate most big/tall items. I do wish that the refrigerator had a meat/cheese drawer in addition to the crisper drawers but thats my only complaint. One quick note: this refrigerator has styrofoam insulation within the cooling vents at the rear of the temperature control unit. At first I thought the installers had overlooked this and forgotten to remove it but it is part of the unit and should remain in place. Do not attempt to remove it. This should be communicated more clearly in the product manual as I noticed several other inquiries about it online.

Beware of Top Freezer Refrigerator w/out Warranty

Keep your original receipt Buy an extended warranty The bad news is this refrigerator had congenital birth defects and didnt last a year. The good news is that there was a manufacturers warranty. The bad news is that I did have to spend multiple hours with customer service and my tenants had to live without a working refrigerator for a couple of weeks. Note that the customer service reps seem to all be in the Phillipines and it is sometimes very difficult to understand their english. The good news is that LG finally made good on their warranty about a week and a half after the reopair tech deemed it unrepairable and after a few calls to customer service. FYI The repair tech took one look inside the freezer and could pretty much tell that the refrigerator couldnt be repaired so that it would cool properly. He claimed that modern top freezer refrigerators were inherently problematic. However given the old cabinetry in the home the height limit of the space means that top freezer model refrigerators are the only choice I have. I have purchased a replacement refrigerator with a five year warranty and hope for the best. I have been very happy with the LG French Door refrigerator in my primary home for over 7 years and am very happy with my newish LG front load washer and dryer.

Horrible refrigerator even worse customer service

The only thing worse than this refrigerator is the customer service that I received from both Home depot in Dover DE and LGs customer service department. The freezer has no light and within two weeks would cause my frozen foods to be covered with frost even on the lowest setting. I was forced to unplug the unit and allow to defrost almost weekly. I ended up removing my meats from this freezer and using my deep freezer. I only use this one for things that I can easily identify such as cool whip butter etc. Contacting customer service left me frustrated uninformed on resolutions and disgusted. No one cared that I has spent the amount of money that I did and within just a few weeks would be in need of a new refrigerator. As for Home depot I will never purchase another major appliance from them. Same goes for LG.

Fridge great - service not so mjuch

Refrigerator is ok except it does not have a light in the freezer section. The manual says there is supposed to be but it is not there. Trying to get service to a brand new unit is ridiculous. Instead of a one or two phone/message contact to get repair work scheduled mine took 4 phone calls 8 texts and numerous pictures to different people.... New refridgerators are not supposed to be so difficult. LG needs to step up their game.

Door causes pain

We bought this fridge in July and are not happy. Fridge is always at 55 freezer ices up every few weeks and fridge is even warmer. Door is too low too the ground hits my bare feet. Shelving in the door impractical huge handles of crisper drawers in way of lowest possible door shelf. Not cooling is the biggest issue though. Light is always on. Technicians have not scheduled appointment.

Horrible product

Its the worst The freezer had no light and constantly frosts over despite being on the lowest setting. The temp inside the fridge is ok and the fingerprints arent easily wiped away. I have to unplug and defrost my meats almost weekly just to be able to identify my food. Ive contacted both LG and Home Depot and no one provided any solutions as I was past the 2 day window to return. Customer service was awful with both.

Not cold not happy

I am sorry not to give a positive review: freezer ices up every few weeks fridge is never colder than 55. The shelf spacing inside not easy to organize items crisper handles too big and no lowest shelf on door because of that. Door too close to floor my bare feet get caught if I dont watch out. The light is always on. The technician was in contact with me but is a few hours away and has not yet scheduled a visit.

Facts of the matter at hand

As i said in a previous review the difference between my last refrigerator and you know who that is has made my life much improved just because you can put anything at all into it without a problem. Shelving freezer controls are all in the right place and that really makes a difference. All i say is LG engineering is tops. Im now replacing my dishwasher based on that fact alone Thank you BF

Repairs just done

We bought it in Nov 2022 and this month the refrig was not getting cold enough for food to store safely 55 -60 degrees. We had to have someone come out to replace the motor. It took them 2 weeks to come out and do this after multiple calls/complaints from me and my husband.

I recently purchased a fridge and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The fridge has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. It has a spacious interior which allows me to store all of my food and beverages and keeps everything fresh and cool. The design is sleek and modern making it a great addition to my kitchen decor. Bad refrigerator worse customer service

I purchased this fridge a little over 2 years ago. After approximately one year the auto defrost feature failed causing ice buildup in the freezer compartment. Then the lower refrigerator section stopped working altogether while the freezer was operational. Currently the temperature in my refrigerator compartment is 65 degrees F. My interaction with customer service has been a disaster. I have called at least 10 times and get no help . I got recommendations to repair centers that will not service LG in my area and suggestions that are clearly straight out of a text. It seems like every time I call we go back to square one. Very dissatisfied.

Bought from Lowes. 1st one delivered would not work at all. 2nd one they delivered was the same broke one that I returned the 1st time. 3rd time it was delivered was a new one and works fine. I asked the delivery driver to switch the doors and they wouldnt because it wasnt written down but it was on the other delivery tickets.
